Tree have to be grown in substitution for the old ones and it is necessary to study the area characteristics, especially in terms of geographical location.
Soil type, Characteristics of plants as well as the cultural and social
background.. The plants to be grown have to be indigenous to the locality so as
to grow in harmony with the surroundings. To gain multi-purpose benefit, the
different types of trees particularly fruit trees, timber and firewood for
daily use should be grown on mountain slopes. When the old trees are fallen,
the young trees have to be planted in substitution immediately to create an
unbroken cycle. And to cultivate fast growing plants along the water
channels, which then will enable plants to grow in abundance. This will also
prevent forest fires, which easily occur in the forests that lack humidity.
Cultivating a variety of plant species suitable with the topographical
conditions of the areas helps maintain the natural balance and create
multipurpose benefits to the people.
